Description The AHA PALS Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2020 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC. This classroom, Instructor-led course uses a series of videos and simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics.The goal of the PALS course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes. The PALS course uses a series of videos and simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics.
Who Should Take This Course? Recommended for any healthcare professionals and medical personnel who may respond to pediatric emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units, and others who require PALS certification for job requirements. Individuals must have completed a PALS course within the past two years, and have a valid PALS card, in order to take the renewal course. If your card is expired you must complete the PALS Intitial class.
