Part ONE: Complete all the online components of the program prior to this course, including the Online Learning Assessment (Adaptive eLearning). These online components will assess and verify your foundational knowledge of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program Essentials Provider curriculum.

PART TWO: Upon completion of the online activities (PART 1), this is the course you will register for ( ESSENTIALS instructor led event) that offers the opportunity to practice/review essential resuscitation skills and participate in simulation/debriefing that focuses on critical leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

Passing all assignments is required for issuance of an NRP Essentials Provider eCard.

Course Description: NRP 8th edition introduces a new educational methodology tailored to better meet the needs of the many health care professionals who manage the newly born baby. Two NRP Course options: NRP Essentials and NRP Advanced are offered so that NRP providers can excel in the course material most relevant to their role and personnel resources during newborn resuscitation.

The Neonatal Resuscitation Program® (NRP®) course conveys an evidence-based approach to care of the newborn at birth and facilitates effective team-based care for healthcare professionals who care for newborns at the time of delivery. NRP utilizes a blended learning approach, which includes online testing and hands-on case-based simulation/debriefing that focus on critical leadership, communication, and team-work skills.​​
